Petra Kinclová
Senior Managing Associate
Petra is an experienced attorney at PwC Legal, having worked 15 years for Czech and international law firms. In addition to her legal studies, she also studied geography and history at Charles University in Prague and international business at CIC in Melbourne.
Prior to joining PwC Legal, she gained experience in the judiciary, where she worked as an assistant judge in the commercial division. She now provides legal services to Czech and international clients concerning their business operations, focusing on matters related to commercial, employment, regulatory and competition law. She has extensive experience representing clients before the administrative authorities as well as administrative and civil courts.
Petra speaks Czech, English, German and some French. Her main areas of focus include corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, employment law and regulatory law, with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and life-sciences industry.
One of Petra's more interesting cases was representing a major domestic lottery operator in an investigation of an alleged cartel, including a local investigation. In another, she advised a major international dairy producer for several years on the Significant Market Power Act, setting up supply contracts, negotiating with retail chains, communicating with the OJK and training traders, including providing antitrust training. In terms of her work as an attorney and dealing with human relations, Petra's involvement in negotiating and representing in a whistle-blower case, dealing with golden parachutes, and representing a client in a dispute over a transferred plant are among the most interesting. She considers healthcare and life sciences to be a particularly challenging field, not only for lawyers.
