Petr Kincl

Managing Partner

Petr is an experienced attorney with more than 20 years of practice not only in the Czech Republic, but also in other countries in Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
Petr is a project-oriented lawyer focusing on M&A, corporate law, sectoral regulations, insolvency and litigation.
During his career, Petr has advised multinational and Czech companies on acquisitions and restructurings, represented them in court and arbitration proceedings as well as in negotiations with other state authorities, and advised them on European and national regulation of their businesses. In addition, he has assisted entrepreneurs, managers, and their families with succession planning and the structuring and protection of their assets.
He considers his greatest achievement to be the rescue of the insolvent St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Prague.

Vendelín Balog

Managing Associate

Vendelín has been a managing associate at PwC Legal Czech Republic since 2019. For more than eigthteen years, he has specialised in mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, financing and real estate projects. After graduating from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 2005, he worked for a renowned Czech law firm, where he provided legal services and led a number of projects for foreign and Czech clients. During his practice, Vendelín has assisted a number of foreign companies with their entry into the Czech market and led a large number of intra-group restructurings.
In addition to his main area of expertise, Vendelín focuses on energy and contract law.
His most interesting cases include the acquisition of minority stakes in companies operating the TAL transalpine pipeline in Italy, Austria and Germany by a Czech state-owned company. Vendelín also managed the sale of a major Czech transport engineering group (a Czech TOP 100 group) involving dozens of companies across Europe and successive negotiations with three bidders. In addition, he advised a major Czech energy group on corporate restructuring and energy law.

Daniel Pikal

Managing Associate

Daniel has been the leading lawyer at PwC Legal Czech Republic since 2021, having joined the team in 2014. His practice involves representing domestic and international clients in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, bank financing, and regulatory aspects of transactions.
He obtained his education at the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague and also at the Faculty of Law of Manchester Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom.
His main focus is on merger and acquisition law, corporate law, including company restructuring, bank financing, and regulatory aspects of acquisitions and restructuring.
Among the most interesting cases he has been involved in are providing comprehensive legal advice for the acquisition of a plastics processing company by a leading petrochemical company, the sale of a significant manufacturer of automotive lighting technology to a French automotive component manufacturer, including bank financing, and representing a Belgian multinational group in the acquisition of a Czech paper company specializing in packaging.

Petra Kinclová

Senior associate

Petra is an experienced attorney at PwC Legal with 15 years of experience with Czech and international law firms. In addition to her legal studies, she also studied geography and history at Charles University and international business at CIC in Melbourne.
Prior to joining PwC Legal, she gained experience in the judiciary, where she worked as an assistant judge in the commercial division. She provides legal services to Czech and international clients in their business operations and focuses on related commercial, employment, regulatory and competition law matters. She has extensive experience representing clients before administrative authorities and administrative and civil courts.
Petra speaks Czech, English, German and some French. Her main areas of focus include corporate law, M&A, employment law and regulatory law.
Petra's most interesting cases include representing a major domestic lottery operator in an investigation of an alleged cartel, including a local investigation. She has also enjoyed advising a major international dairy producer for several years on the Significant Market Power Act, setting up supply contracts, negotiating with retail chains, communicating with the OJK and training traders, including antitrust training. From an attorney and human relations perspective, Petra has found negotiating and representing in a whistle-blower case, dealing with golden parachutes, and representing in a dispute over a transferred plant to have been the most interesting.

Anna Kameníková

Associate

Anna is an attorney at law specialising in real estate and contract law. She has been practicing law since 2012 and joined the PwC team in 2019. Prior to that, she worked with leading Czech and international law firms and a leading Czech developer.
Anna focuses on real estate, contract and corporate law. Some of the most interesting cases she has been involved in include ongoing legal advice on the development of an automotive manufacturer's site, the sale and leaseback of real estate for an engineering company, the legal audit and acquisition of a portfolio of shopping centres for a leading Czech real estate group, and providing legal services to a development group focused on the construction of residential developments, office projects and shopping centres, including company conversions and property and facility management.

Jaroslav Srb

Associate

Jaroslav is an attorney-at-law at PwC Legal, where he has been working since 2016.
Jaroslav graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague, and he also studied for one year at the Faculty of Law of the University of Strasbourg. Prior to joining PwC Legal, he gained experience working for Czech law firms and at the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. Alongside Czech and English, he speaks French and Japanese.
Jaroslav specialises in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and employment law. Among his most interesting cases are the restructuring of a multinational group that involved the demerger of major software companies. He has also been involved in various domestic and cross-border mergers of major companies operating, for example, in the engineering and services sectors. He has also actively participated in conducting legal due diligence for numerous leading Czech companies on behalf of foreign and domestic investors.

Radim Hanák

Associate

Radim is an associate at PwC Legal who has been specialising in tax litigation for more than eight years. His work includes representing clients before tax authorities and administrative courts in tax matters, including disputes over breaches of budgetary discipline (for example, repayment of subsidy funds for breach of subsidy rules).
Radim started working in tax law as a student, and he has since used his practical experience garnered from his rigorous doctoral studies on tax administration and excise tax. During his career, he has been involved in tax disputes with national and international scopes. In addition to tax law, he also works in administrative and criminal law, with an emphasis on criminal tax law.
Radim's most interesting cases include representing a major domestic metals trader in a VAT dispute in a case where knowing participation in tax fraud was alleged. He also represented a large international manufacturing company in a withholding-tax dispute arising as a result of an additional transfer pricing adjustment.

Lucie Fuksová

Associate

Lucie is an expert in tax procedural law with more than twelve years of experience. She has been a member of the PwC Legal team since 2017.
Lucie focuses on tax disputes, general litigation and legislative projects. She is also involved in legal IT/IP projects. Her favourite issue is the principle of prohibition of abuse of law.
In the past, she has worked in consulting companies and at the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic, and she was an intern at the Supreme Administrative Court. She has many years of experience representing clients in tax disputes. For example, she has assisted clients in cases involving VAT and potential negligent participation in carousel fraud. She has also represented a leading pharmaceutical company in a dispute over the application of VAT and an international logistics company in a dispute over the tax deductibility of expenses.
Recently, her exposure of an improper procedural approach by the tax authorities saved a client tens of millions of Czech crowns without the dispute having to be adjudicated in court.

Martina Sedláčková

Associate

Martina Sedláčková is a lawyer specialising in corporate law, M&A transactions, and start-ups. She has been working at PwC Legal since 2021. Prior to joining PwC Legal, she gained experience in both Czech and international law firms, focusing primarily on corporate law, M&A and contract law.
Martina speaks Czech, English, and Spanish. She is a graduate of the law faculties of Masaryk University in Brno and Palacký University in Olomouc.
Her main areas of focus include mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, contract law, and real estate transactions.
Among her most interesting cases are providing legal advice and conducting analyses of business plans and start-ups for various international clients. She also assisted in drafting a joint venture agreement for a significant international tire manufacturer. Martina has provided comprehensive advice in connection with domestic and cross-border mergers of various companies and has prepared various multinational framework agreements.

Miloš Sochor

Senior associate

Miloš is an attorney-at-law at PwC Legal with more than fifteen years of experience in providing legal services.
He gained professional and practical skills in public law during his practice in tax administration, especially in the fields of administrative proceedings and litigation.
Miloš specialises in labour law, legal compliance, corporate law and contract formation. Miloš has advised on multiple international transactions and worked on resolving subsequent matters, including registrations and other relations concerning public authorities. His clients are local and international manufacturing companies, especially in the automotive industry and companies in the retail sector.
His most interesting cases include the complex arrangement of the corporate structure, including contractual relations, in connection with the establishment of a company and the transfer of a plant for a client doing business in the field of information and communication technologies. He also provided labour law consultancy for a major domestic car manufacturer, advised in the fields of labour law and employment agency registration, and provided comprehensive analysis and implementation of the GDPR. In addition, he represented internationally operating companies in proceedings at the Office for the Protection of Competition.

Petr Glogar

Senior associate

Petr Glogar is an attorney-at-law at PwC Legal with more than 15 years of professional experience. Prior to joining PwC Legal, Petr worked as an in-house lawyer focusing on commercial law, employment law, money laundering and lottery law.
Petr focuses his practice on employment and labour law projects, corporate governance, business sales and M&A employment aspects, due diligence, management and mandate agreements, concurrence of functions and personnel topics related to the delegation system and corporate governance structure. He is also heavily involved in advising on trade union negotiations and collective bargaining.
Petr has represented clients in administrative and judicial proceedings and in negotiations with state authorities, particularly on labour law and employment issues.
Petr also deals with new areas of employment-related regulation, such as whistleblowing and the gig economy.
Petr's most interesting projects include reviewing and setting up the shift operations of a major car manufacturer in the Czech Republic, analysis of agency employment with recommendations for a car manufacturer in the Czech Republic, and setting up a system of cooperation between employees and contractors at a leading brewery.

Lenka Michalcová

Senior lawyer

Lenka's practice focuses on IT law, including cybersecurity, digitalisation, intellectual property, and data and privacy protection. She joined PwC Legal in 2022.
Prior to joining PwC Legal, Lenka led the legal department of a group of companies, including one of the largest independent digital agencies in Europe and a renowned marketing agency. From her previous practice, she has a deep understanding of the processes and pitfalls of software development.
In addition to her legal studies, Lenka graduated from the Faculty of Informatics and Management at the University of Hradec Králové, majoring in Applied Informatics. In the field of intellectual property, Lenka is accredited to provide IP Scan services.
Lenka has extensive experience in preparing and negotiating contracts in the field of agile software development and service support. She has also worked on many projects in the area of data protection, including complex GDPR implementation, drafting policies and setting up a CCTV system. In the area of cyber security, she has designed a methodology for evaluating vendors according to the Cyber Security Act and the ISO 27001 and ISO 27002 standards.

Alena Larionova

Senior lawyer

Alena is a public procurement expert with more than 11 years of experience. During this time, she has been actively involved in the consultation and implementation of several hundred tenders and contracts in a wide range of industries, including vehicle procurement, IT equipment, software, consultancy and construction. She also has experience in the procurement and control of large projects. Prior to joining PwC Legal, Alena worked at the Managing Authority of the Integrated Regional Operational Programme at the Ministry of Regional Development, where she was responsible for the correct setting of procurement conditions and their subsequent control for over 40 staff and approximately 6,000 beneficiaries and applicants. Alena is able to communicate in Czech, English and Russian.
Alena's most interesting projects include advising on and administering approximately 50 interconnected tenders and contracts in 27 countries, drafting tender documents, including the draft contract for the public procurement "IROP Financial Instrument" with an allocation of approx. EUR 77.8 million, and controlling the procurement procedures under the National Electronic Facility of approx. EUR 18.5 million.

Olga Kaizar

Associate Partner

Olga Kaizar has been with PwC Legal since autumn 2023. Prior to joining PwC Legal, Olga led Deloitte Legal's Real Estate team as well as the Environmental team.
Olga has over 20 years of experience advising on international real estate transactions across European jurisdictions. These services and the experience Olga has acquired cover all aspects of real estate legal advice: Comprehensive transactional advice, both domestic and international, in logistics, hotel, office buildings, shopping centres and parks, manufacturing and rental housing); real estate financing (transactional/construction); public and construction law, including procedural law and representation in individual proceedings, comprehensive legal services for construction, legal services in insolvency and other proceedings relating to the real estate sector, legal services relating to rental housing and leasing of office and other commercial premises.
Olga has also gained international experience in providing legal services in environmental law, taking into account all European regulations.

Marc Müller

Marc Müller is a senior associate at PwC Legal in Prague. Prior to joining PwC Legal, he was a partner at a leading international law firm, where he led the energy team.
With many years of experience as Head of the Legal Department, Managing Director and Vice Chairman of the Board in the energy sector, he provides leading services in the field of energy law. Marc also specializes in compliance & corporate governance, public procurement and advises our Czech clients on business activities related to their expansion into Germany.

Martina Brůnová

Associate

Martina Brůnová is an attorney at law with 8 years of experience in advocacy, where she mainly takes care of private clients and provides related legal services, especially in the field of estate planning, asset protection, family law and inheritance law.
Prior to joining PwC Legal in 2023, she worked for one of the largest Czech law firms and as an independent attorney.

Klára Zikmundová

Junior Associate

Klára is a junior lawyer. During her studies, she spent one semester at Hamburg Law School, where she focused on German private law. After graduating from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in 2018, she worked in a Czech law firm, specialising primarily in litigation. She joined the PwC Legal team in 2021.
Klára is also a Ph.D. candidate at the Civil Law Department of the Faculty of Law of Charles University, where she is focusing on non-pecuniary damages and the legal aspects of artificial intelligence. As part of her doctoral studies, she completed a research stay at the University of Melbourne.
In her current legal practice, she specialises in corporate law, labour law, and civil liability and compensation for damages.
Among her most interesting projects are the restructuring of a development group, legal due diligence of an international transportation company with a focus on employment, and the transfer of a company including the preparation of transaction documentation.

David Pavliš

Intern

David has been a member of the PwC Legal team since January 2022.
His main areas of work include commercial law, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, litigation and human rights. During his undergraduate studies, he worked as a paralegal in several law firms where he gained valuable experience.
His expertise was recognized during the Human Rights Moot Court competition, where in 2018 he and his team took 3rd place in the national final.

Maciej Górski

Intern

Maciej has been a member of the PwC Legal team since November 2022. He is a 5th year student at the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague.
Before joining PwC, he worked as paralegal in multiple law firms where he specialised mainly in corporate and employment law, with overlap into other legal fields. As part of his studies, he participated in a number of competitions, including school and international moot courts, and successfully defended his student research project.
Maciej speaks Czech, Polish, English, French and Spanish.
His main areas of expertise include competition law, employment law, corporate law and capital market law.

Jana Jurová

Junior Associate

Jana is a junior lawyer. She graduated from the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University in Brno in 2018. As part of her studies, she also spent a semester at the Faculty of Law at the University of Bergen. In addition to her law studies, she also studied International Relations and European Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Masaryk University. After her studies, she worked as a corporate lawyer for a company in the transport sector. She focused on B2B contractual agenda, public procurement, grants and loan documentation. She joined the PwC Legal team in 2023.
Jana's most interesting projects include the review of security institutes for the issuance of bonds, preparation of projects for obtaining subsidies under the Operational Programme Transport of the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic and work on legal due diligence.

Jiří Brabec

Associate

Jiří joined PwC Legal in August 2023.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Charles University and also studied at the University of Helsinki, Finland. He started his career in public administration, namely in the Ministry of Finance. He has worked as a attorney in leading law firms in Prague, most recently in the international law firm Eversheds Sutherland.
His practice focuses on real estate law (including financing) and commercial law, in particular contracts and mergers and acquisitions, as well as litigation.
Among the most significant cases he has been involved in is the purchase of a hotel in Prague for approximately CZK 300 million using loan financing, including the subsequent refinancing of this loan. For a client involved in clinical trials, he handled the sale of a group of companies to a foreign investor for approximately CZK 150 million. Jiří was also involved in a transaction involving the sale of a minority stake in a leading provider of assisted reproduction services.

Petr Syrovátko

Associate Partner

Petr is a Partner (attorney-at-law) and leads the Tax Controversy & Dispute Resolution practice in the Prague office of PwC Legal.
Petr focuses on tax litigation, commercial disputes, and arbitration as well. He has participated in numerous cross-border lawsuits in the CEE region and has successfully advised clients before various courts and arbitral tribunals. He also has considerable experience advising on the general law of obligations, restructuring and insolvency, real estate law and has participated in many M&A transactions.
Before joining PwC Legal, Petr acted as head of the local dispute resolution practice in Prague office of Deloitte Legal and Wolf Theiss. Petr is listed as arbitrator on the list of the arbitrators led by the Arbitration Court attached to the Czech Commodity Exchange and the Arbitration court attached to the Czech Chamber of Commerce and the Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic as well. Petr graduated from Charles University Law School in Prague (JUDr. and Ph.D.) and received a LL.M. from the University in Passau in Germany. He is a member of the Czech Compliance Association and the Czech Bar Association as well. Petr can support his clients in Czech, English or German language.
