the Czech Republic, but also in other countries in Central and Eastern Europe
and the Middle East.
Petr is a project-oriented lawyer focusing on M&A, corporate law, sectoral
regulations, insolvency and litigation.
During his career, Petr has advised multinational and Czech companies on
acquisitions and restructurings, represented them in court and arbitration
proceedings as well as in negotiations with other state authorities, and advised
them on European and national regulation of their businesses. In addition, he
has assisted entrepreneurs, managers, and their families with succession
planning and the structuring and protection of their assets.
He considers his greatest achievement to be the rescue of the insolvent St.
Elizabeth's Hospital in Prague.

Vendelín has been a managing associate at PwC Legal Czech Republic since 2019. For
more than eigthteen years, he has specialised in mergers and acquisitions,
corporate restructurings, financing and real estate projects. After graduating
from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 2005, he worked for a
renowned Czech law firm, where he provided legal services and led a number of
projects for foreign and Czech clients. During his practice, Vendelín has
assisted a number of foreign companies with their entry into the Czech market
and led a large number of intra-group restructurings.
In addition to his main area of expertise, Vendelín focuses on energy and
contract law.
His most interesting cases include the acquisition of minority stakes in
companies operating the TAL transalpine pipeline in Italy, Austria and Germany
by a Czech state-owned company. Vendelín also managed the sale of a major Czech
transport engineering group (a Czech TOP 100 group) involving dozens of
companies across Europe and successive negotiations with three bidders. In
addition, he advised a major Czech energy group on corporate restructuring and

Daniel has been the leading lawyer at PwC Legal Czech Republic since 2021, having
joined the team in 2014. His practice involves representing domestic and
international clients in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate
restructuring, bank financing, and regulatory aspects of transactions.
He obtained his education at the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague
and also at the Faculty of Law of Manchester Metropolitan University in the
United Kingdom.
His main focus is on merger and acquisition law, corporate law, including

and restructuring.
Among the most interesting cases he has been involved in are providing
comprehensive legal advice for the acquisition of a plastics processing company
by a leading petrochemical company, the sale of a significant manufacturer of
automotive lighting technology to a French automotive component manufacturer,
including bank financing, and representing a Belgian multinational group in the
acquisition of a Czech paper company specializing in packaging.

Senior associate
Petra is an experienced attorney at PwC Legal with 15 years of experience with Czech
and international law firms. In addition to her legal studies, she also studied
geography and history at Charles University and international business at CIC in
Melbourne.
Prior to joining PwC Legal, she gained experience in the judiciary, where she
worked as an assistant judge in the commercial division. She provides legal
services to Czech and international clients in their business operations and
focuses on related commercial, employment, regulatory and competition law
matters. She has extensive experience representing clients before administrative
authorities and administrative and civil courts.
Petra speaks Czech, English, German and some French. Her main areas of focus
include corporate law, M&A, employment law and regulatory law.
Petra's most interesting cases include representing a major domestic lottery
operator in an investigation of an alleged cartel, including a local
investigation. She has also enjoyed advising a major international dairy
producer for several years on the Significant Market Power Act, setting up
supply contracts, negotiating with retail chains, communicating with the OJK and
training traders, including antitrust training. From an attorney and human
relations perspective, Petra has found negotiating and representing in a
whistle-blower case, dealing with golden parachutes, and representing in a
dispute over a transferred plant to have been the most interesting.

Anna is an attorney at law specialising in real estate and contract law. She has
been practicing law since 2012 and joined the PwC team in 2019. Prior to that,
she worked with leading Czech and international law firms and a leading Czech
developer.
Anna focuses on real estate, contract and corporate law. Some of the most
interesting cases she has been involved in include ongoing legal advice on the
development of an automotive manufacturer's site, the sale and leaseback of real
estate for an engineering company, the legal audit and acquisition of a

Jaroslav is an attorney-at-law at PwC Legal, where he has been working since
2016.
Jaroslav graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague, and
he also studied for one year at the Faculty of Law of the University of
Strasbourg. Prior to joining PwC Legal, he gained experience working for Czech
law firms and at the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the
Council of Europe in Strasbourg. Alongside Czech and English, he speaks French

Jaroslav specialises in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and employment
law. Among his most interesting cases are the restructuring of a multinational
group that involved the demerger of major software companies. He has also been
involved in various domestic and cross-border mergers of major companies
operating, for example, in the engineering and services sectors. He has also
actively participated in conducting legal due diligence for numerous leading
Czech companies on behalf of foreign and domestic investors.

Radim is an associate at PwC Legal who has been specialising in tax litigation for
more than eight years. His work includes representing clients before tax
authorities and administrative courts in tax matters, including disputes over
breaches of budgetary discipline (for example, repayment of subsidy funds for
breach of subsidy rules).
Radim started working in tax law as a student, and he has since used his
practical experience garnered from his rigorous doctoral studies on tax
administration and excise tax. During his career, he has been involved in tax
disputes with national and international scopes. In addition to tax law, he also
works in administrative and criminal law, with an emphasis on criminal tax
law.
Radim's most interesting cases include representing a major domestic metals
trader in a VAT dispute in a case where knowing participation in tax fraud was
alleged. He also represented a large international manufacturing company in a
withholding-tax dispute arising as a result of an additional transfer pricing
adjustment.

Lucie is an expert in tax procedural law with more than twelve years of experience.
She has been a member of the PwC Legal team since 2017.
Lucie focuses on tax disputes, general litigation and legislative projects. She
is also involved in legal IT/IP projects. Her favourite issue is the principle
of prohibition of abuse of law.
In the past, she has worked in consulting companies and at the Ministry of
Finance of the Czech Republic, and she was an intern at the Supreme
Administrative Court. She has many years of experience representing clients in
tax disputes. For example, she has assisted clients in cases involving VAT and
potential negligent participation in carousel fraud. She has also represented a
leading pharmaceutical company in a dispute over the application of VAT and an
international logistics company in a dispute over the tax deductibility of
expenses.
Recently, her exposure of an improper procedural approach by the tax authorities
saved a client tens of millions of Czech crowns without the dispute having to be
adjudicated in court.

He gained professional and practical skills in public law during his practice in

Petr Glogar is an attorney-at-law at PwC Legal with more than 15 years of
professional experience. Prior to joining PwC Legal, Petr worked as an in-house
lawyer focusing on commercial law, employment law, money laundering and lottery
law.
Petr focuses his practice on employment and labour law projects, corporate
governance, business sales and M&A employment aspects, due diligence, management
and mandate agreements, concurrence of functions and personnel topics related to

Lenka's practice focuses on IT law, including cybersecurity, digitalisation,
intellectual property, and data and privacy protection. She joined PwC Legal in
2022.
Prior to joining PwC Legal, Lenka led the legal department of a group of
companies, including one of the largest independent digital agencies in Europe
and a renowned marketing agency. From her previous practice, she has a deep

In addition to her legal studies, Lenka graduated from the Faculty of
Informatics and Management at the University of Hradec Králové, majoring in

Lenka has extensive experience in preparing and negotiating contracts in the
field of agile software development and service support. She has also worked on

Alena is a public procurement expert with more than 11 years of experience. During
this time, she has been actively involved in the consultation and implementation
of several hundred tenders and contracts in a wide range of industries,

Klára is also a Ph.D. candidate at the Civil Law Department of the Faculty of

Jiří joined PwC Legal in August 2023.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Charles University and also studied at
the University of Helsinki, Finland. He started his career in public
administration, namely in the Ministry of Finance. He has worked as a attorney

Eversheds Sutherland.
His practice focuses on real estate law (including financing) and commercial

Among the most significant cases he has been involved in is the purchase of a
hotel in Prague for approximately CZK 300 million using loan financing,
including the subsequent refinancing of this loan. For a client involved in
clinical trials, he handled the sale of a group of companies to a foreign

transaction involving the sale of a minority stake in a leading provider of

Petr focuses on tax litigation, commercial disputes, and arbitration as well. He
